Description

Detectives investigating the murder of Danny O'Shea in Canning Town earlier this month have arrested three more people.

The three men were all arrested at an address in the Isleworth area of west London early on Wednesday, 14 December.

The men, two aged 29 [D/F] and the other 22 [E], have been arrested on suspicion on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody at an east London police station.

On 2 December police were called shortly after 18:15hrs to Gill Avenue E16, following reports of an injured man.

A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as a stab wound to the neck.

An incident room is open at Barking under Detective Chief Inspector Larry Smith from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command (HSCC).

It is believed that Danny may have been chased by a group of males immediately before the attack.

Officers are keen to trace the occupants of white Ford Transit with red and blue lettering on it and the words "self-drive hire" that was in the area of Butchers Road between 15:00hrs and 18:00hrs on Friday, 2 December. They are also would like anyone who saw the white Ford Transit to come forward.

DCI Smith said: "We know there were people in the area at the time of Danny's murder and we would urge those people to come forward and help solve this crime."

+ Three people have previously been arrested in connection with the investigation

On 4 December a 43-year-old man [A] was arrested in connection with the inquiry and taken to an east London police station. He was later bailed to return in mid-January 2012 pending further enquiries.

On 5 December a 32-year-old man [B] was arrested and taken to a west London police station. He was later bailed to return in mid-February 2012 pending further enquiries.

On 9 December a 31-year-old man [C] was arrested in the Battersea area in connection with the inquiry. He was later bailed to return to an east London police station on a date in late January pending further enquiries.
