Description
Police are appealing for information regarding an attempted robbery that occurred at about 19.10 hours on Friday 16th March 2012 at the junction of Ashfield Street and Clark Street E1.
The victim a 42 year old man was leaving the newsagents on the corner when he was approached by a group of Asian men. The group were aged between 20 -25 years old and were wearing dark clothing.
The victim was surrounded by the group who demanded his property. When the property wasn’t handed over they assaulted him.
DC Graham Pringle of the Serious and Acquisitive crime Unit said, "This was a violent attack on an innocent man. We are appealing for information from anyone who can help with our investigation. "
