Redbridge is the 9th largest London borough by area at 5,641 hectares and a quarter of Redbridge is covered with forest and parklands. The largest and most distinguished park surrounds Valentines Mansion. Built in 1696 for the widow of the Archbishop of Canterbury, the park contains a walled garden, kitchen gardens and a boating lake with wildlife.
