National Police Memorial Day

The National Police Memorial Day takes place this Sunday, 30 September 2012, at York Minster, York.
Deputy Commissioner Craig Mackey will be representing the Metropolitan Police Service with MPS Senior Chaplain Jonathan Osborne.
This is the ninth occasion the event has been held, it will commemorate the memory of police officers lost in the line of duty; demonstrate to relatives, friends and colleagues that their sacrifice is not forgotten and recognise the dedication to duty and courage displayed by police officers.
HRH The Prince of Wales is the patron of the charity and the event is open to all.
