Officers from Colindale Neighbourhood Policing Team have successfully obtained a three-month closure order for an address in Jet Court, Great Strand following concerns from neighbours

After calls from concerned members of the public in relation to drugs, anti-social behaviour and late night comings and goings, officers attended the property on numerous occasions to gain evidence to support a Closure Order application.

Working with partner agencies, Barnet Council and Genesis Housing, an order was granted by Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 2 November for a period of three months banning people from entering the property.

The venue has now been secured and eviction processes have begun due to the neglectful nature of the property.

Officer in the case, PC Bolton, said: “Colindale Neighbourhood Policing Team is here to work with our partner agencies to try and ensure that the area is respected and enjoyable to live, visit or work in.

“We try our utmost to work together to ensure that our law abiding residents are looked after and not made to suffer by the disrespectful actions of the few. Without the information from the public we would not have achieved such a quick and successful result.”
