SNT launch new scheme

Officers from Cranham Safer Neighbourhoods Team have recently introduced a "Nominated Neighbour Scheme" across their Ward. This initiative is aimed at combating the crime of bogus callers and other crimes by residents providing support for their neighbours.
Sergeant Pete Blackburn of Cranham Safer Neighbourhoods Team said " We continue to suffer from crimes involving suspects cold calling at local resident's front doors and then either entering the property and stealing items and cash or conning residents out of money. We are confident that this scheme which provides reassurance and assistance to members of the community will help tackle this crime."
