Officers from Brent Safer Transport team seized one vehicle and issued two parking charge notices following a joint operation with Brent Council's Counter Fraud Officers.

The joint operation took place on Friday, 25 September, in Salusbury Road, Kilburn between 08:00hrs and 14:00hrs. Officers patrolling the area inspected vehicles that had blue disabled badges on display in an effort to combat the misuse amongst some motor vehicle users.

The operation was conducted due to complaints received regarding parking and speeding in the area as well as possible blue badge misuse.

One vehicle was seized by police under Operation Reclaim for driving not in accordance with a licence and no insurance. Three blue badges were also seized by Brent Council.

PC Adam Marshall from Brent Safer Transport Team said: "We will continue to work in partnership with local authorities to improve congestion and safety on our roads and to tackle unauthorised fraudulent use of blue badges."
