Driving School
Our aim is to enhance road and officer safety and enable the Met Police to operate in London's difficult and demanding traffic conditions. Safety without compromise is our key message. An international centre of excellence we train officers from all over the world.
Advice
Emergency vehicles. You should look and listen for ambulances, fire engines, police or other emergency vehicles using flashing blue, red or green lights, headlights or sirens.

The Driving School, based at Hendon, delivers training at key sites in and around London.

The Police Driving School is located within the grounds of the world famous Peel Centre in North West London and is covered by the police area of Barnet Borough.
History
The Police Driving School was established in 1935 by the then Commissioner, Lord Trenchard.
