Safer Transport Command
The Metropolitan Police Service Safer Transport Command oversees policing on London’s transport network for the Metropolitan Police Service. It is funded by, and works in partnership with Transport for London. Overall London's transport network is generally safe and crime on public transport is at its lowest level in over 5 years.
Safer Transport Teams
There are 32 Safer Transport Teams dedicated to policing each of London's boroughs providing a highly visible policing presence tackling crime on the transport network and engaging with the travelling public.
Travel safety and security advice
The Safer Transport Command has provided advice for staying safe when using London's Transport network, or if cycling around the City.
