Transport oversees policing on London’s transport network for the Metropolitan Police Service. It is funded by, and works in partnership with Transport for London. TfL’s transport network is a safe, low crime environment. Over ten million passengers travel on its public transport services each day. The risk of becoming a victim of crime while travelling on TfL’s transport system is now at its lowest level.
Safer Transport Teams
There are 32 Safer Transport Teams dedicated to policing each of London's boroughs providing a highly visible policing presence tackling crime on the transport network and engaging with the travelling public.

Travel safety and security advice
The Roads and Transport Policing Command has provided advice for staying safe when using London's Transport network, or if cycling around the City.
The number of cyclists in London has more than doubled in the past decade. The MPS are working with partners to ensure people cycling or thinking of taking up cycling in London can ride their bikes safe and securely.
