Everyone has something to offer as a volunteer. If you have existing skills you can bring to the organisation, you can make a contribution to London by volunteering with the Met.
Whether it's as special constable (volunteer police officer), met police volunteer, cadet or cadet leader there are many ways you can get involved in all aspects of policing which can help enrich your social life, enhance your career, and above all, by giving back to your community and keeping your city safe, you will gain a real sense of achievement.
Employer Supported Policing (ESP)
Confidence, decisiveness, leadership ability – those are hugely valuable qualities for any employee to have.
Met Police Volunteers
Volunteers benefit the Met in a multitude of ways. They bring a wide range of skills and experience. They add value to the work of our staff, helping to enhance service delivery and improve customer service.
Volunteer Police Cadets
The VPC is in the middle of an exciting expansion programme and we hope to increase the number of opportunities we offer young people across London significantly in the future. If you're up for the challenge we need you.
How to apply
We will be recruiting Met Police Volunteers again from 24th July until 13th August. You will be able to download an application form during that time.
